Anxiety is an emotion we all need, it is there to keep us safe. Although it is far more common that our mind and body respond as if there is danger when there isn’t. Your mind knows it’s just dirty dishes or a work deadline, but your body feels like a tiger is chasing you.
It’s a mind that won’t turn off, focusing on doing things “right,” always feeling rushed, people-pleasing, always saying “yes,” and not being able to relax.
Using a nervous system informed approach we can work towards a mind that knows it’s good enough and a body that feels safe in the present.
